XVID Audio Problems

In most .AVI (XVID Encoded) files, it seems like the audio is pretty much off to what it should originally sound like. I'm using ffdshow-20060526-rev2546 currently.

Thanks for the reply, Dayvon. I guess this is one of these 9 times out of 10 that encoding process was done wrong.

Media Player Classic seems like a nice program. I especially don't have to use BSPlayer any longer on my brother's DLP Widescreen TV for .OGM files.

I've tried the Audio Shifting, that doesn't seem to work though. Audio is in sync perfectly. It's just that the audio seems really off, especially when music plays within the movie. These were also ripped off Region 4 DVDs. Would it have anything to do with what region they were encoded in? I thought PAL does different rendoring, I forget exactly which locations Region 4 uses. I'll have to investigate wheather it was in PAL or not. I'll try doing FFDShow a little more, play around with some options here and there and see if it sounds different.

In the end I'll have to try decoding the audio someway and modifying it. There was exactly one other XVID encoded file that I played and it was like this, it might have been PAL too. I've recently got Superman Returns a month ago in XVID, the audio didn't seem off to the way the old music was when they used that old music piece from the first Superman movie, especially later on within the movie. Listening to the actual track and the XVID AVI seemed to be flawlessly perfect. I also got X-Men 3 too, I couldn't notice the difference since it was the first time I saw that the other day.

I also encoded an XVID AVI and made it into a DVD. It seems like the audio in that was also off. It seems I'll definitely have to edit the audio or do some type of audio decoder configuration.

Edit: Yup, It's definitely in PAL. The front and back covers of the DVD were included within the download.
