I hate my job. I am a CAD designer at Verizon.
First of all, I went to college for electrical engineering. I thought I was going to be doing stuff dealing with my major, and it turns out I'm not.
Secondly, there are way too many contractors who went to ITT tech who are jealous of employees who went to college. The contractors outnumber us
significantly.
It's in the middle of fucking nowhere, indiana.
I haven't quit the job mainly for three reasons:
1)The pay is really nice. Even though we do the same job as the contractors, we get paid more than them.
2)It's helping me to take me deficiency courses in mathematics. Cuz of that stupid job, I've been able to complete a course sequence in undergraduate real analysis. Since I already have a abstract algebra done, all I really need is one more mathematics course so I can start applying to grad school for mathematics. I will be taking complex analysis in the fall.
3)Even when I goto grad school, I will not quit the job because it's easy work, I like my money, and I don't have to be broke anymore.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
