I avoided AIR because I dislike the type of character design that's somewhat typical of H/Ran'ai games. However, I just finished the first episode of Kanon and I have to say that I am completely sold, and going back to check out AIR. Ayu just make the whole thing too cute to pass on. Also, I personally don't think Yuuichi resembling Kyon is such a bad thing. >.>
Kinda jaded with almost everything at the moment, this is series is pretty much the only thing that I just started watching in a while.
I am wondering about the story, currently on episode 9. The original game is a branched game with multiplied ending, correct? So does that mean the 2002 version put in story which makes up the core of the game, but also pick and choose specific path for different characters? Is the 2006 version following the same path?
I was a bit confused as to whether the start was a dream or something when Akiko was suddenly home after pretty much being proper fucked from the auto accident
Spoiler:
There is a slight time lapse I think, between this and last episode, since the drama between Nayuki and Yuuichi has been resolved and nature of Ayu has (at least partially) revealed. Further more, I am speculating that Mei's power might had came back sooner then expected. Of course, there is that dream sequence dreaming "normal life" in the previous episode, I wonder if they done that in purpose to keep viewers on their toes.
On another note, its an interesting detail that they considered in that last scene with the body type the real Ayu have. (having been bedridden for 7 years probably won't allow for much of a growth. Didn't realize what type of time lapse it was, I was like, holy smoke, they had a daughter? But then realize it was the actual ayu. :3
The scene was almost too cute. :3
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
