I think its alright. How to draw effectively in MSpaint is actually very similar to the way you paint Oekaki. A lot depended upon the clever use of guidelines and curve tools and even differentiating color erasers (yes, that's a MSpaint feature).

Give the curve tools in MSPaint a spin, I am sure you’ll find it useful.
