not hard.

or you could just use, you know, that monitor you're looking at.

People will do neither because Mario Kart 64 is outdated and broken and if you're capable of downloading VC games you're capable of playing DS wifi, which means online Mario Kart DS.

Ocarina of Time was one of those "play it while everyone else is" games. You had to be there to enjoy it. I was, but I don't think I'll be able to sit through the water temple again. That shit was annoying.

And besides, I already have the gold cartridge as well as the game on Gamecube. I don't want it a third time.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I really hope the Neo Geo makes it over here in the States. I would love to download my favorite fighters, like Galaxy Fight, Waku Waku 7 and Last Blade 2. That'd put the VC way ahead of the XBOX Live Arcade in my book, despite the lack of online play.
Oh shit, I'd buy those without question. Garou comes to mind when you said Last Blade 2.

The fighters would be perfect for the Wii Classic Controller since they're 4 buttons, not 6.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

And that means a lot of good N64 games won't be released on VC, since Rare is under Microsoft.

It sucks because I really want to play Jet Force Gemini on VC. Guess I'll just hold out for Mischief Makers though.

Since Diddy Kong Racing just came out for the DS, I'd say that's a big no.
And it sucked. Hard. So there's no reason why it shouldn't come out in 2009.

Rare are just unredictable now. Viva Pinata. VC's N64 list will suck without their titles.

How ya doing, buddy?

What happen to once-a-month-N64 game?! :/
So how many months until Blast Corps is released? I'll make a note on my calender especially for this occasion. It'll be like, like a second christmas or something.

Is any of the Rare shit even getting on VC?

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

From what I understand, games are being released like they originally were. Which means no Terranigma for America and no Chrono Trigger for Europe. Or Earthbound for that matter.

Man, this makes me wish I had of imported a Wii. We STILL don't have Super Paper Mario, and I wouldn't even need a step down transformer, due to it's external power supply. Oh well, I have Kororinpa to amuse me with.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

I guess I'll post this here since Acer killed the official Wii thread. It looks like there's a new update for the Wii. It was down for over 8 hours today (for me at least).

No idea what it's about, though.

Edit:

From what I've seen the new update adds a digital clock to the main menu, and the Virtual Console is now set out differently. You can now search by "most popular" and by genre.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I decided to purchase these games because, I think, they really deserve respect.

- Ninja Spirit (TurboGrafx)
- Kirby's Adventure (NES)
- Kid Icarus (NES)
- Gunstar Heroes (Megadrive/Genesis)
- Bonk's Adventure (TurboGrafx)

Gunstar Heroes is a given - 100% Treasure goodness. Kid Icarus and Ninja Spirit are hard games, but I like them a lot. I didn't end up completing Kid Icarus years ago so now's the time to do so. Kirby's Adventure because it's Kirby. And his adveture.

Bonk's Adventure holds a special place in my heart, dearly because my mother had an American friend who's brother owned a TurboGrafx and a bunch of games. Every fortnight, she'd visit him and I'd get to play some TurboGrafx stuff. Really odd because the console never came out here (I was only 8 at the time, I thought the console wasn't out here because it was unsuccessful).

Anyway, we played Bonk's Adventure quite a lot. So sure, why not?

I skipped purchasing Streets of Rage 2 since it's on Xbox Live now. I figure for value for money it just isn't worth it - same with Ecco, which is now out for Live.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Ok whoever decided that having the "switch weapon type" button as the - button in Ninja Spirit needs to be shot in the FUCKING FACE.

Imagine playing Shinobi, and OH FUCK NINJAS EVERYWHERE, and on top of this you need to alternate between sword, rope, shurikens and scrolls against certain bosses. Why couldn't they of used the X button or something for the Wii Classic Controller? It makes it extremely frustrating since you need to take your thumb off the dpad.

If it's region specific please tell me why us PAL gamers are getting TurboGrafx games.

Maybe it was because the console was gray imported into the U.K. at one point?
Well I dunno. I know the TurboGrafx console never came out in Australia or New Zealand (THEY COULDN'T STOP HERE, IT'S SHEEP FUCKING COUNTRY), but we're getting TurboGrafx games on the VC, which weren't released here. So I wouldn't rule out the possibility of Terranigma or other PAL-specific games in America. And I can't think of any that aren't Terranigma.

...but truthfully, I say this because I want them to release Earthbound on VC over here, too. Maybe Chrono Trigger too.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Aren't Neo Geo games big-fuck-off-huge?
If you've ever wondered what "MAX 330 MEGA - PRO GEAR SPEC" means, the "330" means 330 megabites, which translates to 41 mb. So no, they're really not that huge. Metal Slug 1 is only 12 mb for example.

Time to buy Landstalker.

Well, in his defense, he might have been referring to Adventure Island, which really isn't that great compared to later entries in the series.
I gathered "Simply horrible" was a generalization of the entire update.

Speaking of the update, I didn't even see Adventure Island listed there. I saw Landstalker listed, and then next thing I know I'm lining my living room's floor with old newspapers.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

How fucking dumb can you get? It's a filter. It's been on for a week. This should be PAINFULLY OBVIOUS by now. And this doesn't avoid the fact that what you said wasn't even remotely sarcastic.

Just.. fucking shut up, holy shit. This is not acceptable behaviour for the Virtual Console thread.

And you're going to cry because I said that the update was simply horrible? Why not avoid the post from the beginning and move on.

So basically you just lie through your teeth in an attempt to save face. Oops.

Way to fucking go, guy. If you're going to download roms then nothing's stopping you from checking the games out. Why not avoid conflicts by doing this before shitting all over things others might like?

Oh SHIT it's one of those gigantic classification labels we have down here. You want box art? Nah, fuck that, let's do something different like shove 40% of the box art down the drain by adding a label which even the blind can see.

Also yay Sin & Punishment. :3

I was speaking idiomatically.

Wasn't Lukage complaining about the amount of VC games he's bought and the lack of space he has to put them on?

There is no fucking way Nintendo are going to let you connect an external HDD to a Wii. I just don't see it happening at all, because that's not what they're about. Do Wiis support 4 GB SD cards? That would solve a lot of the issue right there.

Sin & Falcon Punchiment hit the PAL VC today, was anyone a bad enough dude to get it? I won't be able to pick up a points card until mid-next week. Also it's 1200 points.

I have no idea what Nintendo are doing these days.

Why the extra cost? Is America not getting it or something? Why do I have to spend 200 extra points on something which is normally 1000? What are the other 200 points going towards?

Oh well! With the progression of Wii modchips eventually VC will become irrelevant. <3
