[General Discussion] Do you buy used games/consoles?

I do. Sometimes. It depends on the item, really. There's some games which you won't be able to find brand new anymore, but for stuff you can purchase in stores I usually won't.

As for consoles. FUCK THAT SHIT. Do you know what they've done to the console or handheld prior to you finding it? Do you know why they're selling it, whether it has anything wrong with it, or whether they've dropped it by accident? No, and you probably won't know even if you asked. It's too risky when it comes to consoles and handhelds.

I don't mind that much for games, but I don't buy Greatest Hits/Platinum games. Buying mainstream titles second hand is just stupid, since you can pick them up from everywhere pretty cheap after awhile.

CD-X yeah, but Super Nintendo no. I've seen a bunch of PAL SNES consoles down here, sealed even, selling for under $20 US. But this was about 4 years ago. There was so many it seemed like they rereleased the console over again, but apparently not.
