Certain PS2 consoles have trouble reading CD-R (or blue) discs. If it's a legit copy of the game, the fault's related to the PS2, not the game. However I'd just buy a Dreamcast and burn it if you're really interested, since the PS2 version isn't arcade perfect.
I don't know about slimlines but it sounds like they haven't bothered to fix whatever the problem was originating with CD-R based games. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
