Why did they switch from Raito to Light, I mean. The scans I have just said they were switching, and didn't really give any reason.

I see, thanks for clearing that up fellas. Can anyone confirm if it really ended last chapter? On stoptazmo they said it said "fin" at the end so..

I feel sort of the same way as Dee. I don't know if I'm just a L fanboy or something but I just thought it was dragging on the last 40 chapters. It got better around 80, then it went down again and the only thing that saved it for me was the ending. I'm probably in the minority in this but I liked the ending, maybe because I thought it was dragging on too much. It's still a great manga, and it got me hooked on reading other mangas which I would have never considerd before. It's probably the best "shonen" manga/anime I've seen.

I love Kenshin and it's probably one of my favorites, but I think the first 60 chapters of Death Note are just that good. I was in a bind when I first started reading them, one part of me didn't want to stop and to keep continuing and the other wanted to make it last. In the end I rushed through it faster than nerd and regretted not enjoying them more than I could have. Just everything is so right and perfect. I'm glad the movie is at least focusing on a different ending. Is the anime gonna be the manga exactly or is there no news yet?

I'm surprised no one has subbed this yet. Nanashi fansubs are supposed to be doing this, I think. I'm trying to resist the raw, but if it isn't out in a day or two I will have no choice. From previews and screenshots and whatnot it looks about 100x more creepy than the manga which is awesome.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

I can't believe like 5 different groups released this on the same day. I went with the TW one but who knows which is gonna be the best now.

I got to watch it earlier, and I'm impressed. The anime captured the mood and atmosphere of the manga perfectly. Can't wait to see how L turns out.

Also, I wonder how long they are going to be able to keep up this animation quality. I'm guessing 12 or so episodes.

Shinsen is good and all, but I don't really want them to sub DN. They'll end up subbing the first 15 or so episodes and they'll be great, but then they'll just stop and release 5 episodes after 5 months and forget about it again. I hate switching groups in the middle of a series and hope TW just stays on their own for DN.
