Grey's Anatomy

I was surprised that there was not a thread for this show yet. I think it's a great show. I only got into it recently, so I still don't know most of the characters names, but I love it. This week's episode was fantastic. I think that it's the best episode that I've seen so far.

Anybody else watch this?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Why can't this show follow a normal broadcast schedule? This is irritating. Does anybody know if there will be a new episode this week?

Does anybody know if there is going to be a new episode tonight? It's been a month since I haven't seen a new ep. I'm getting rather annoyed.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

So last night's episode was pretty good.

Spoiler:
WTF is up with McDreamy? He's suddenly all pissed off that Meredith is dating his vet? Ok. What a jerk.

2-night season finale? They're spreading it over two weeks?! Bastards!

Wow. The episode that just aired was amazing. Izzy is crazy. I cannot wait until tomorrow.

So to recap:

- Meredith is still in love with McDreamy.
- McDreamy is still in love with Meredith.
- George is still in love with Meredith.
- The vet is falling in love with Meredith.

It's going to be an interesting third season. Oh, and Izzy is apparently leaving the show.

I believe the season opener actually beat CSI! Wow. Also, it was a great episode. I'm so happy to see that Izzy isn't leaving the show and I'm eagerly awaiting this Thursday. It's going to be the best night of television for me. Grey's Anatomy followed by The Ultimate Fighter.

Quote:
The Grey's Anatomy slander scandal keeps on going.

When show actor Isaiah Washington told reporters backstage last Monday night at the Golden Globes that he "never called [costar T.R. Knight] a faggot," he reignited a fury that could now cost him his job. Washington made the Globes comment when he was asked about an incident that occurred on the Grey's set in October, in which he allegedly threw the same slur at Knight and physically assaulted costar Patrick Dempsey.

The week following the Globes saw Washington release a statement of apology and ABC release a statement saying the network has "a long-standing policy to create and maintain respectful workplaces" and wouldn't tolerate actions like Washington's.

Despite the public apologies, the actor's job may be in jeopardy. Although ratings for the show hadn't dipped last week, an executive at ABC parent Disney has acknowledged the company is mulling firing Washington. The anonymous executive said in Sunday's New York Times that Washington's behavior may run afoul of Disney's antidiscrimination policy.

In the meantime, Washington has fired his publicist and hired another who specializes in "crisis management." Washington is scheduled to meet with the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network--GLSEN--to assist in the organization's No Name Calling Week, which targets school kids.

"We are encouraged by the apparent sincerity of Isaiah Washington's apology and his recognition of the power of a word that, like so many others, has no place in our society," GLSEN head Kevin Jennings said in a statement. "We would like to thank Isaiah and ABC for reaching out to GLSEN in what hopefully will be an important step in the healing process for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender people, and all those who were offended by the remarks."

This week, Washington is also slated to meet Neil Giuliano, president of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.

"We are encouraged by Isaiah Washington's statement and optimistic that it may mark a turning point in this deeply troubling situation," Giuliano said. "His acknowledgment of his actions and of the hurt and harm his actions have caused is an important first step toward healing his relationships with his castmates, his fans and the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community."

After the on-set fracas in October, Knight came out publicly that he was gay. Soon after, the cast appeared on Oprah and everything appeared to be smoothed over. After the Golden Globes revisit of the event, Grey's costar Katherine Heigl said she was disgusted with Washington.
That's not cool. I like Burke. It would also seriously mess up the plot lines that they have going now. What do you guys think?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Re the latest episode:

Spoiler:
Holy crap. Two random proposals. I think that Christina is going to say yes, but I've a feeling that Callie might not accept. I'm eagerly awaiting the next episode.

Also, Izzy giving her money for the clinic was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too obvious.

Lastly, does anybody else think that the Chief is no longer going to be retiring?

RE: Bailey, and misc

Spoiler:
There is no way Bailey is going to be made chief now. Isn't she still a resident? I'm curious to see what is going to happen with her free clinic though.

I can't wait to see what the answers to the marriage proposals are.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

More like TR Knight is <3! I mean...

You're in for a great ride Enceph, well at least post mid-2nd season. That's when I started. I haven't seen the early episodes. GFF Drama is nothing compared to Grey's Anatomy drama.

I can't see how Callie is hot. I mean, even if she's not fat, I still won't consider her as hot. That's just me.
I'd hit it. I guess she's just not your type, or something like that.

I was pretty disappointed by this week's episode. They tried to make it very tense, but it just felt bland. Grey's this week was lacking whatever usually makes me so attracted to it. I'm hoping that the conclusion to this storyline next week brings "it" back.

Thoughts?

Three part? Interesting. The girl annoyed me too. Anyhow, I'm expecting it to pick up next episode.

I like people who are full of pep and all that, but if I ran into someone like Dr. Heron who has THAT much energy to turn into rainbows I'd slap the shit out of her on general principle.
Quoted for truth. Well, I wouldn't go that far, but she is annoying. Her peppyness serves to conceal a deeply disturbed person. It's true, I just don't remember what episode that was revealed in.

What did you guys think of last night's episode? I felt it was pretty lackluster. No Meredith was certainly a breath of fresh air.

The writers are really pushing to make Alex into a good guy now.

Meredith is obviously not going to die. Making another lead character fall in the water would have caused a lot more speculation as to whether or not they were actually going to live.

I should not have read that. Stupid me.

Anyhow, I'm fully expecting #1 to happen. #2, maybe. #3 - that would be so random; I don't think so. #4, ya, maybe. #5, possible. #6, please don't.

Tonight's episode was useless.

Spoiler:
Meredith is alive, wow, that was suspenseful! Ok, her mother died. That was unexpected. Sandra Oh has solidified her spot as the best performer on the show. Bailey is awesome and Issey needs to be slapped. Oh wait, George did that verbally.

I enjoyed the episode overall.
