Well, the new HD that you purchased, is it Internal or External? (most likely it is internal...)

If I had the Hard Drive, i would keep it aside as a spare or backup drive in case another HD fails. Although to this day, I use a good multitude of my old HD's connected to a USB mount to store my videos, music, games, archive my Ableton projects, Reason projects, etc. in addition to the Time Capsule that does daily backups.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
