ok, I live in a tropical country... mosquitos are something common around here I don't know what that cream "skin so soft" or the others mentioned here are made of, but I've only seen tourists using them and honestly they don't work... but I guess if you see it working it will do, considering now the bug spray case those formulas are made in foreign countries mostly so it doesn't work in some types of mosquitos depending on the species some things might work others won't for example in Puerto Rico where Devo was the Anopheles species(common in the south hemisphere) is completely different than the Aedes Aegyptis wich can be found almost anywhere. The best thing to do is to stay away from the water sources they use to reproduce.... since they only sting for that, only female mosquitos do it as long as you are away from one of the hatching spots you should be fine.
