I went last night and thoroughy enjoyed it. I wish I would have paid for a little bit better seats though. I was wondering if I missed much, I came in part way through the retro medley.
I am trying to decide what my favorite part was. I really enjoyed the whole thing, but the ones that stand out in my mind were the Zelda, Mario, Sonic, and Warcraft arrangments. The classic clips in there made me remember the good ol' days of classic games. Warcraft was very intense, I love the songs they had in the mix and the choir was top notch. I will also say it speaks volumes that my girlfriend who always gives me a hard time for being such a big VGM nut LOVED it as well. She also wished we sat closer so she could see the screen better. So I had a great time, and will definitely go again. Thanks for a great show Tommy! Jam it back in, in the dark. |

Just got back from the show tonight in LA (read riot zone) and I had a blast. This is my 3rd time seeing VGL. I really enjoyed the encore with everyone coming back on stage. I'm exhausted so I'll try to post some more impressions tomorrow.
