Oh man, this looks great, and guys thanks for the links to the teaser!

Really, it’s hard to tell if it’s real-time or CG, which is good news.

I really like the fact that they are pulling off 3 games to start with, meaning that they anticipate a market large enough for 3 bigs games, meaning the gaming market/world has grown (and will grow) a lot, which mean (for us) more games, better quality, more budget, more of everything...

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Whew! That's even better than I first thought, the battle pace is "débile", and express next-gen, it's much better than just better graphics, really if we can get that kind of pace and interactivity, and still have 30 hours of gameplay (not counting side quest), it will be great.

Now, I wondering why Square did pulll this off this early, even before FFXII releases in America, do any of you guys remember when they pulled off the first details about FFX? How many months it was before the PS2 launch?

I mean there must be a specific reason, we're talking abut mutli-mutli million dollar projects here, they sure don't want to mess anything up...

There's nowhere I can't reach.

SO! When does the 1080p trailer comes out?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Well, how about FFXIII would be the main game, normal great FF core stuff with improve cinematic feel both in cutscene, gameplay and battle.

And after that you get to play Versus which would be the entire same story but you play as the “villains”, so you get to see how they think, and how they’ve got through all this.

Of course, this would require some heavy duty story, where in the main FFXIII, a player could actually understand the villain and why he’s acting “evil” (kinda like the last boss in SH2), to the point where a player could even ask himself throughout the game if he is really on the good side. That way playing as the “bad guys” would be much appealing. Just an idea… what do you guys think?

About the guy in the big chair, he is surely evil, look at his boots!

Well, hehe, same idea, same time, I want my cut

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Pathetic yeah for sure... I think you're right Skate, when she rubs sword with the other guy, she seems lightning charged... and when I replay the trailer, I noticed that she seems always charged with lightning when fighting.

I was speaking idiomatically.

I just watched the trailer in HD, and now it's obvious that those scene are real time generated. One thing that worries me though is that it's in 720p, I really hope they'll do the real thing in 1080p

For those of you who don't have it:

What I don't like is the possible name of the character for FFXIII, "Lightning".

lol: Falgua? It sounds like the name of a town, not a person.

For name suggestions: How about something like "Tesla" as in Telsa Coils? XD
or (since I mentioned French up above), how about éclair? French for Lightning, and a name that HAS been used as a girl's name before (in an anime series called Kiddy Grade).
Hmm, as a frenchman, hehe, sorry but Éclair sounds like really dumb as a name, but I certainly understand that it might sounds “kinda cool” to Americans though… like Italian and Romanian stuff sound to us...

IMO, if you have to call her in French, call her Claire (tout court), Sabrina, Nicole, Isabelle or even Julie, or if you have really no choice… call her France.

About that FF V XIII trailer, it seems very teasing and interesting, we got to get our hands on the trailer guys, now I’m intrigued…

Well why not? Imagine that, you could actually watch a cinematic battle scene, and at the same time you would be building the very next scene by queuing commands of your character as in the teaser, you know like when she does "Firaga" and then "Shoot", those are actually queued actions in the command bar.

Those queued commands would be use to build the next sequence depending on many variables like the number, the position and the size of enemies, how they move, balance, char level, char mood, room size and room elements, environment, timing, random, etc, and with all that the white-engine-AI could generated cinematic-feel-battle-sequences similar to the one we saw in the teaser.

Now THAT would certainly add much more to the RPG/FF gender then just "better graphics", and would definitely be next-gen and a...“kinda-cool” I might add

Hey guys, re-watch the HD trailer with that in mind and tell me what you think? Personally, that’s what I expect.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Just a hunch...whattaya think? Also if my theory is correct, and if there are other party members, they would have elemental attributes that correlate to specific summon creatures.
Hmm, excellent point, really, good sense of observation, it would be interesting to see that, could that be the new FF direction SE was talking about? It would also explains why she can kick the ass of I don't know how many armed soldier in a matter of second without being hurt

Oh man, this is great news, especially, the part where they confirm the nature of the continuous action-chained battle rhythms and fast-paced too, this is gonna be “fun en criss” as we say around here.

Once again, I’m gonna buy a PlayStation because of the first FF coming out on it. When they say it’s the games that make the console its true gang… and that Versus game is peeking my interest too, I want to see the trailer, hehe

There's nowhere I can't reach.
