Another option is joining the military. The US is involved in a conflict and all, but you'd be given "skills" and pay as well as the opportunity to improve your situation and enroll for some higher education after your service obligation. Very likely you could end up in a line of work dealing with computers. If you fear for your safety(sure it's still not completely safe), go for the Navy.
And it's not too late to develop social skills, you just have to cultivate them.
The above mentioned solutions are good as well; just be decisive and do something you can enjoy doing.
