 This, the crane fly, scares the living piss out of me. Completely. If I see one, I'll scream and yell and cower, or avoid wherever it is. And it's completely irrational, because they eat mosquitos and other 'scary' insects and -- contrary to what it looks like -- do not suck blood. And there's a name for it as well: Tipuliphobia. Which cracks me up, because Tipuli is a Nahual (Aztec) and Cherokee word for "vagina." Jam it back in, in the dark. |
