I've always said that I was a vampire

.
I come from a fairly nocturnal family...my mom has always been a "night owl," as is her mom. It's been a tradition for as long as I remember for my mom and I to bake until 3-4am around Christmastime; I think the song "Night Baking" was written for us

.
Whenever I'm not in school (or any other situation that imposes a required rising hour), I don't fall asleep until 3-4am. When I was younger, this was because I really didn't feel inspired to draw until midnight and later.
I don't like going to bed at 4am and waking up at noon, though. I actually enjoy having all morning to screw around, then do stuff in the afternoon.

To 'reset' your inner alarm clock, all you have to do is force yourself awake before 10am and sit outside for 10-15 minutes and allow the natural sunlight to hit your eyelids. This reprograms your inner ability to wake up "with the sun." And no, this isn't some crackpot thing -- my doctor told me to do that when I was having problems going to sleep before 4am. It was also confirmed by my psychology professor.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
