HDTV...a complaint

I think my 20" bulky phillips TV that I bought in 2000 is better than these HDTV's. I bought this TV yesterday http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTE...l_26%22to42%22 Well my pc hooked to it looks great, my xbox and ps2 and dvd player looks like shit on it. The quality looks like shit on it. I thought it being HD will make my games look at little better, but all it did was make it look like shit compared to my old TV. Nothing is wrong with my TV, every HDTV in the store looks horrible (they said it was due to the cable TV...), so I ended up wasting 1600$.

Are all HDTV's like this? I'm thinking of returning this and getting a plasma TV like in a year or two since the picture quality of a Plasma TV looks much better from what I've seen.

How ya doing, buddy?

No HDTV's suck, period. I've seen ps2's and xbox played on Plasma TV's and they look way better. Shit screw the gaming, even my DVD player hooked to it looks horrible.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Btw shouldnt a DVD look better when I play it on my computer that hooked to the HDTV? Cause it looks the same when played on a dvd player, ps2 or xbox.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTE...=feature&var2=

It says "Component Video Input offers the best video quality for DVD (480p and 480i), and digital set-top box (1080i, 720p, 480p and 480i) connections."
Does that mean I need to get a digital set-top-box for the ps3 or xbox 2 if I wanna play it at 1080i? Or is that only for tv broadcast?

I was speaking idiomatically.
