Static IP

So I'm trying to set up a static IP so I go to http://portforward.com/networking/static-xp.htm and in the pictures on that site there are 2 different dns servers, but when I do it I only see 1. Before when I used to use my linksys router I used to see 2 DNS servers and they looked similar to those numbers on that site. Now I'm using a D-Link router and I only see 1 dns server and it's the same numbers as my default gateway.

So I phone up Comcast to ask them what dns server numbers I should use and they told me that they only give that to their business accounts so they cant give it to me. So I went ahead and entered the the 1 dns server number I saw into the settings things. So I'm wondering now does that really matter if I used 1 and it's the same as the default gateway? Did I do it wrong or what?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I didnt understand that well (not a tech person heh), but now do I change the settings in my router aswell? Right now in the connection type it's set to Dynamic IP (DHCP), do I need to change that to static IP? If I do, do I have to use my default gateway numbers forthe ISP Gateway Address?

There's nowhere I can't reach.
