after the five goals in Game 1 I was freaking out over the number of goals I picked for the series... thankfully the low scoring game last night helped to balance it out.
But what's troubling me is that Ottawa almost doesn't seem to be in it anymore. Emery is the only thing holding that team together right now with his superb work. I love my Ducks, but damn... can we play a team that isn't all about having one of the best in the net? Every series this playoff season has been about the opponent's goaltender... and every series Anaheim has had to figure out the way to get the puck past that goaltender. It's not always pretty... but no one ever said hockey was pretty. That's what ice skating is for... Game 3 will be the decision-maker on whether or not this series is going to be short or long. Media is already jumping off the Sens-wagon after watching Anaheim manhandle Ottawa in both games... Jam it back in, in the dark. |
