Quina Quen was certainly worthless. It takes so damn long to gain the techniques due to accidental defeat or even just searching for one particular monster that I've given up hope of ever gaining all blue magics.
I never got much use out of Irvine in FFVIII, but I'm not sure if that's simply because of the system I had for junctioning GFs or if I was just annoyed that his limit break wasn't particularly good. Most amazing jew boots
