Did Chuck know how you felt? If so I see no reason to worry about going out with this girl. I'd say go out for that coffee either way. It doesn't have to escalate into anything since it might be a friendly gesture on her part anyway, but at least you can get a clearer view of the situation and find out where the boundaries are.
