I would never consider gambling with cards until I felt fully confident, so for now I just play safe games with my friends. However, I have been to the horse races and bet on a couple. I was 15 at the time, and I won £30, so I was pretty chuffed. I don't think I'm the kind of person who is good at gambling though so usually I steer well away from it.
My brother won £60 from £5 by betting everything he won onto the next round of roulette in our local Ladbrokes, and he also entered a poker tournament but he didn't do very well I hear.
