Our family has always eaten together where possible. A lot of the time my mother was always too busy to eat with us, and then as we all grew up there were fewer and fewer people around the table. Now we only eat together on the offchance that we're all under the same roof. However, we also had a TV in our dining room so we only really talked in depth when there was nothing interesting on =/
