My middle name is the name I go by. Richard David Elliott DeVahl Mason (I hate and love to type all of that out), and I've gone by Elliott most of the time. On official documents I'm shown as Richard, but even then sometimes I go by R. Elliott.
Most of my siblings don't go by their first names. I'm not sure why our parents gave us first names by which they never intended for us to be called. Strangely most of my siblings have four names total where I'm the only one who has an odd number, thus making it easy to pinpoint my middle name. I don't know what one does when he or shee has four names. Jam it back in, in the dark.
