They don't taste the same, but at the same time they taste equally good, in my opinion. However, when it comes to Vanilla Coke versus Vanilla Pepsi, Coke wins in my book. Although Coke never had an adequate lemon spinoff, in which case I was buying Lemon Pepsi for a long while.
Now Coke ditched Vanilla Coke (why?!) and is on this Cherry Vanilla fad. I wonder how long it will last. Usually poor flavors die out pretty quickly (Pepsi Blue; aftertaste tasted like vaporub smells), so I don't know why Vanilla Coke was allowed to exist for like, five years, and ten cancelled  Jam it back in, in the dark. |
