They're too expensive for what you get. As it stands for most media, just making a copy of it and using THAT in your CD/DVD player costs less than buying D-Skins. PS2 games are a different story, since you can't play backups natively with the hardware. Perhaps in that case it's a valid investment. The same applies to dual-layer DVDs, as it is not cheap to replicate those (I'm willing to bet the MPAA has something to do with the high prices of such media).
I take care of my stuff well enough so that there aren't any scratches so bad that the product is ruined. I've sooner injured myself than my CDs, DVDs, and games. If I can do it, I think everyone can. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
