We used to know our neighbors. Every last one of them. When we were younger, there were tons of kids who lived on our block. Slowly but surely they all moved away; none of the same people are here anymore. My godmother happened to live next door; it was a lovely time. Especially when we didn't have any syrup for pancakes. :knock knock:
Now I don't know who is on the block, really, except for next door neighbors and the lady across the street who tries to fine us when we don't cut our grass, etc. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
