Well I know this is a bit late, but my impressions of the English version was of sheer disappointment. I loved the Japenese version and the voice actors sounded awesome, even though I didn't understand a word of it
. The subtitles (at least the ones I used) were really good with a couple exceptions. The english voice actors I thought did a terrible job. Much of the dialog sounded horribly canned. Lines were mucked up just so they could fit the motions of their mouths, and sounded extremely ackward...and well, just dumb. Sephiroth was a massive dissappointment. The japanese voice actor made him sound very sinister and evil, which I loved. The american voice actor sounded terrible in comparison. He just didn't have that evil sound. Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() FGSFDS!!! |
And yeah, its pretty irritating =/. Thats why you get an additional downloaded copy and a subtitle file for that. You don't like a subtite, change it . I spent about 2.5 hours going through mine making various tweaks and stuff, sounds a lot better now. There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() FGSFDS!!! |
