You may like this one -> http://www.geocities.jp/mugen2004rai...en_lifebar.htm
It has special bar right under lifebar. Lifebar editing is quite easy, basicly what you'll have to do is to change the resolution of the font, simply make it two times bigger. Programs like Photoshop (to resize the file) and Font Editor to adjust the changes to the font file will be useful. You posted the SAME lifebar! || \/ This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I'm affraid both sites are just useless for mugen comunity; reason, characters made with FFI-VI sprites will be awfuly small. About 1/3 - 1/2 of normal character. Not to mention RPG characters consists of 20-40 frames of animation while 2d fighters have 500-700 sprites (+ additional addional effects). Sprites from the site are good for RPG MAKER but not mugen.
Af for the Ehrgeiz, making something out of it will be extremely difficult. It's 3d game and it is based on polygons not sprites. Of course it is possible to make characters using this as a base (vide T3 Hwoarang) but cleaning every frame from the background takes bloody ages. Besides I wasn't really impressed with the T3 fighter. I someone would give it a chance I bellieve it would be a good condidate to FF shitty band.

This is the resault of my today's work, Link's ending of my King of Streets game:
![]() May you test it and share some opinions so I could make it better? >LINKY< Robo-Rock is one of the bosses in the game, together with Evil-Ryu, Evil Ken, Evil Kyo and few others. I was speaking idiomatically. ![]() |
Aditionally I would advise to get rid of the spaces in names, back in the past I heard a rumor that mugen doesn't like them. But I cannot really verify it it is true or not as I was avoiding them ever since... Another thing, did you "install" the plugin or just copy it into the folder? You need to edit mugen.cfg in order to make it working.

Open Mugen.cfg and look for a "Sound configuration (Windows)" section where you'll find something like this:

Yes, notepad and photoshop <- these are the basic tools. To put the graphic files into "mugen" again I reccomend Fighter Factory (good for inserting and extracting music, graphics) it cames together with other inbuilt tools. For making fonts use Font Factory.

----------------------------------------------------------------------- ![]() What's with the odd screen ratio? Looks kind of atractive! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Anyway, here's two screen showing the progress of my project. ![]() Character quote screen with random quote. Random encounter game: Come up with the winning quote for Evil-Ryu, Evil-Kyo, Evil-Ken, Evil-Sakura, Dragon Claw or Robo-Rock and if I find it interesting I'll add it to the game! Each character will have up to 9 random displayed quotes. How ya doing, buddy? ![]()

I'm using the code from Jenet and Elisabeth from KOFXI that were released quite recently plus additional edits from my own. I advise you to study it and you'll see how easy* it is.

These two are game characters, after you download one of them open its cns file and look for state 180, 181 and 182 and analyze it's structure. Also read mugen docs in order to learn about triggers, they will be useful in coding quote screen. It's possible that every time you'll want to add the screen into the character changing the old code will be necessary so without the basic understanding of the code you will surely fail. What can I say, EXPERIMENT AND LEARN, otherwise you wont achieve anything. Nobody will code it for you.

Was already posted by me, nicely looped and ready to use, together with stages that fit it's rythm and stuff, search the previous pages.

The problem with quotes with names is the fact that the dispalyed text is actually graphical files, it is of course possible to force the correct one to be displated, but doing this will require making about 40 (as there about that many characters), not to mention I would like to have minimum 3 variants. Thus I would prefer to have them without names. The reason I asked for the ideas here is to gather your texts, I can always copy original quotes from gamefaqs but it's no fun. I come up with one funny quote for Robo-Rock, the famous text from MGS2 when Roy Campbell gets infected by the virus and starts acting strange:
Cleaning sprites is time consuming task but here they are, new quotation graphics. ![]() Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]()

There is no tutorial to Fighter Factory I think, it is only a tool or rather a fronend that makes creating things easier. Once you know how to make something you'll find the use very easy. Better look for a tutorial how to make a screenpack, character or whatever.
