Extracting music from DVDs

I've heard a lot of things about people being able to extract music from PSX, PS2 or PC game discs, so is it possible to do the same for DVDs?

The only helpful info I've come across so far is a quote in this topic:

PSound again, it doesn't "see" DVD's but it can still read audio.dat files and similar types. I used this program to get the music and voices from Bloodryane. It doesn't alway get the interleve right though so audio can sound messed up.
So if I can extract music, is there any sort of tutorial somewhere on how I can do that, and also to convert those extracted files to WAVs? I've never done any music extracting before so I may need recommendations on what programs to use. Thanks in advance.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I tried out the program, but I'm actually looking for a way to rip music without having SFX or vocals included. Thanks for the suggesstion though.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I somehow figured ripping without SFX/vocals was impossible anyhow. Thanks a lot for the help though, I'll try this out sometime, even though I've been extremely busy lately.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
