Like Rick Deckard, I'm bringing this thread out of retirement.
I just watched The Final Cut, and it's every bit as brilliant as the Director's Cut, if not more so thanks to the stunning new transfer. I got the giant briefcase set for Christmas, and I haven't even begun to scratch the surface yet. It's a remarkable set. Anybody else pick it up? Jam it back in, in the dark.

 Then it started playing in Boston but show times would conflict with my work schedule. So I had to endure the slight wait for DVD. It was worth it.How ya doing, buddy?

I wouldn't say it COMPLETELY ruins it... I noticed what you're talking about, but it didn't take me out of the film too much.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
