I work freelance so I never have any money taken out of my paycheck. After an exhausting list of write-offs, I owed a little north of $3500 which I paid off between January and this past Thursday.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
There are no penalties that I'm aware of, other than taking a huge chunk out of your checking account in one fell swoop rather than over the course of the year. Maybe it's a Massachusetts thing?
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
My uncle is my accountant and he handles all of this stuff for me. He just asks "what are you writing off" and when he's done working his magic he says "here's what you owe." I'm sure all of this stuff has been factored in, but like I said, I'm fairly sure there's no penalty for doing everything in one lump sum in April.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
