Sony definitely doesn't want a shortage of consoles, especially if it's rushed. Look at the 360 and all the reports of broken systems. Imagine if Sony did the same thing? Half of the systems would be garbage by their quality standards.

I say they take their time. I'm in no rush to get a PS3, and I'm sure most people would rather have a quality system with plenty of them to go around than a rushed system with a small supply.

Yikes... It's pretty much lose/lose for Sony at this point. Lets just hope they don't jack the price of the damn system through the roof as rumored.

I would have to tip my hat if they revealed that it's actually coming in the spring, and all of this crap was just a hoax.

But I'm not betting on that.

According to http://www.gamefront.de/ Sony will show a new revision of the PS3-Controller at E3 and it will have its own motion detection technology.

Who couldn't see this shocker coming a mile away? If it turns out to be true, it will probably be half-assed because of how rushed it will be. Good job Sony.

If Sony adds motion sensors in their controllers, it would probably actually help boost Wii sales. Since the feature is gameplay-related, Sony will likely do a half-assed job at it. People will get a taste of what true 3D control is like, and once they see that Wii does it 100 times better, they'll say "eff Sony lolz" and go for the Wii.

All this is doing is showing all the skeptics a taste of what the Wii can offer with the comfort of not actually having to buy a Wii beforehand.

I am in complete shock over this. They're touting the PS3 to be a cheap blu-ray player, and yet they fucking remove the HD outputs on the low-end system?

I can't believe how big of a rip off the $500 edition is compared to the $600 one. At this point they really are forcing you to buy the premium version. It's a shame.

All that's left now is to find out what's going to launch. They need a few great titles to stay afloat this holiday season if you ask me.

My college town is filled with friggin idiots, so I doubt any of them know about tomorrow. I'm banking on being able to go after my class around 2:00 PM. I will likely end up calling beforehand just to make sure so I don't waste a trip.

Wow, none left in my town, at either EB or GameStop. I called them during the break from my class around 11:00 AM and there was one left. That kind of shocked me. Eh, oh well. I'm gonna bank on there being some online pre-ordering happening sometime soon. 6 systems per store is an insanely low amount, despite the shortage.

It's official, auctions for the PS3 are getting shut down.... For the next 7 days. Apparently you can't sell pre-order stuff over 30 days in advance, so, by this time next week, they'll be back on there. Kind of ruthless, but whatever.
