I never liked Jack, but I atleast tolerated him and saw things from his perspective in season 1. This season I could give a fuck less about him with all his bitching and ordering around. I'm not overly mad about that, though. They made Locke so fascinating when I thought they couldn't do anything more with him. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I find it to be a pain in the ass when they ignore it. Other than that, I'm completely fascinated by it like I am with the statue.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |

![]() Sweet looking poster. Everybody's eyes look fake, but I can't help but say "wow how cool they all look." Only 2 more months! I was speaking idiomatically. |
Damn it, hold on...
The pic is a dead link on the site too. I'll re-link it when it comes back up. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
The opening sequence might have been the coolest sequence in that entire show's history. That threw me off SO MUCH.
The rest of the episode was cool, but a bit of a disappointment. I was hoping to find out more, but ah well. It was a nice set up. I'm interested to see what will happen to our friends over there with The Others. FELIPE NO |

Also, did anyone catch this? Spoiler:

The thing between Jack and his dad is an example of the useless drama this show spews forth. Don't get me wrong, it has some fantastic character drama and situations, but this is not an example of one. I'll elaborate-

Last season it was really bad, especially with the lockdown and the map. Any normal person would have run screaming onto the beach like a lunatic after what happened. Most amazing jew boots |

The Red Sox thing literally made me have an orgasm. My god that was AWESOME.
Great episode, overall. Liked it alot more than the premiere. Next week looks to be spectacular as well! I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
My question is, how haven't they seen the other island at all? There's no way that they could have not seen that thing at all this whole time between Michael, Walt, Sawyer in the raft, Desmond and all his misadventures, and Sayid, Sun, and Jin on the sailboat. Based on the view that Sawyer had, it's not exactly that far away.
I called shenanigans on that right away. How ya doing, buddy? |
I was DEVASTATED when Eko died. Literally devastated. He was my favorite character on the show and they fucking offed him for no good reason at all. And to top it off, they killed him in a retarded way. The smoke monster grabbing him and fucking him up? Please. That was absolute bullshit. I really want to hear the explanation for THAT.
Other than that, the episode was brilliant. The bit with Juliette and the TV was so incredibly well done. I think what will happen next episode is that Jack will save Ben, and then Juliette will kill Ben right then and there. Should be a good finale despite the horrific disappointment with Eko's death ![]() How ya doing, buddy? |
I find it depressing that I don't care about the premiere tomorrow. Normally I'd be stoked out of my boots for the premiere, but I just don't care about this show anymore. I think they officially jumped the shark in season 2, and due to that, they completely lost my dedication this past fall with their stupid plot developments, most of which were unnecessary.
Spoiler:
Also, the producers are taking the show in the complete wrong direction. This quote in particular put another nail in the coffin for me- "I think there's a much larger audience that's much more interested in who is Kate going to choose than the details about who Alvar Hanso is." Ugh, they're so fucking wrong. Supposedly they will start answering some questions, such as what happend to Desmond after the hatch asplosion, but eh, I just don't care. Anyone else feel the same way? FELIPE NO

I can't even watch when it's on because I'm in class till 10:20 on Wednesday nights, so that doesn't help. Does ABC still offer the shows for free the day after?

Looks like any hope of seeing some form of resolution to Michael's story has been thrown by the wayside-
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
It was a complete cop-out to the question "what happened to Desmond when the hatch blew on up?" I think more people are wondering how did the hatch become a crater and not kill any of the people inside of it?
The whole time-travel theory is one that I really hope they avoid, because for a show like this that has no answers to its questions, the last thing we need a question that literally can't be answered in regards to how he can physically move through time and space like that. I dunno, I thought it was a good episode but I'm afraid they keep biting off more than they can chew, and time travel is something that even dedicated time travel movies have trouble explaining. I also really hope that "what are Jack's tattoos" isn't one of the THREE BIGGEST MYSTERIES, because that's not a fucking mystery, nobody cares except for Jack fangirls (whom all flock to Sawyer anyway). I am interested to see what happened to the kids, but I'm sure all it will do is answer it with another question. *sigh* oh Lost, where did you go wrong... There's nowhere I can't reach. |

Great episode. First time I've been impressed with this show since the first two back in the fall. It felt like a good ol' season 1 episode. No stupid Others bullshit, just good ol' fashioned character development with our favorite bunch of islanders.
Although, god damn, I am so sick of the 2 new survivors they keep trying to push down our throat. Everything they say and do is just SO FORCED. Nothing is natural about them one bit. I was hoping for another Hurley meteor to come and vaporize them. I was speaking idiomatically. |
That was definitely the first good episode in a while, but I totally saw both surprises coming, ie, Locke getting pushed out the window and his dad being on the island. I knew he would be going out the window as soon as he entered the apartment and it was lined with windows. Dead giveaway.
And somehow, I think because I've been watching the show for so long, I just figured his dad would be on the island. As soon as Ben asked for "the man from Talahasee" I knew it. It has sort of lost it's knack for surprising the audience because all the surprises are presented exactly as they always have been, so it makes them very predictable. Other than that, it was by far the best episode of the season. The show hasn't been this good in a LONG time. Anybody have a link to next week's preview? What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
God damn it.
I swear to fucking god if they just Spoiler:
Other than that, great episode. Now I want to know more about Ben and the ORIGINAL Others. My friend has a theory that the original Others are immortal, or they don't age. Makes sense considering Richard looked the same when Ben was a child except with long, groovy hair. Also, $100 says Juliette = Anna. FELIPE NO |
Oh man, I can't wait to hear what she thinks.

Okay, here are the two theories that have been thrown around me and my group since the ending-
1. Parallel universe. This would explain Jack's dad being alive. I think that the ending is a cheat, and plays up an alternate dimension sort of thing, and next season we're gonna open up to either Locke stopping the rescue from happening, or Ben being right and the castaways get their shit ruined. The flash-forward parallel universe could be if Jack was right. Season 4 opens with Jack being dead wrong and there's an all-out Dharma/Others/Castaway war. 2. It really did happen, but only a few people get rescued. Those being Jack, Kate, Claire, Aaron, Sawyer, and Ben. Why I think it was them - Jack and Kate for obvious reasons. Sawyer because Kate says "I have to get home, he's waiting." Claire and Aaron because that's what Desmond saw, and Ben because he was in the coffin. Neither friend nor family? Nobody went? Two big signs right there. Sign three - Jack didnt want to leave the island, and Ben is the ONLY one who could get him back. Now, for whatever reason, the other islanders are stuck. Probably because Ben and Locke keep them there because they want to stay. This episode has completely thrown me for a loop. I don't know where the hell they are going to take it, and I honestly think that either of my theories could work. I had a few gripes with this episode, like the BIG ANSWER TO DOES JACK LOVE KATE was revealed in the most anti-climactic way possible. He's just like "hey love u k bye lol." COME THE FUCK ON!!! WHERE ARE THE EMOTIONS?!?!?!?! The other being another magical John Locke escape. First it was the hatch, and now it's the 10-foot fucking grave, complete with fucked legs and a gun shot wound to the gut. I want some answers. Also, very VERY interesting that Ben mentioned "the temple" when talking to that guy, Richard I think his name was. Man... This disappointing season has given me one of the more insane season finales ever. Not sure if I like it or not, but it's certainly got my mind moving in circles. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I think Mikhail and all the original island inhabitants are immortal somehow. Seriously. That guy can't fucking die.
Also, I felt Charlie's death was extremely anti-climactic. I wanted to see him drown from something he couldn't escape from. While I understand it was a moral choice on his part or whatever, it still didn't feel as emotional as it could have. "Not Penny's Boat" Now THAT was interesting. It adds to my parallel universe theory. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
