As it stands, the only incentive seems to be soundtrack labeling and identification. Guess what. ::noonecares::
You gotta have something that nobody else has; something that would have a lot of demand. If you're anal over something as trivial as proper capitalization on ID3 tags, then you might as well serve music that has no loss in quality. Why would you download MP3s, when you could get a lossless copy, burn it, then encode it to any compressed filetype that you wish. The large size of FLAC, APE and other files ain't even an issue.
The bottom line is that there is no major server of lossless game soundtracks, and if you want to return GFA to its former glory (lol yeah ok), then lossless is the way to go.
We already have a guide that can be followed for encoding in lossless. Surely, we have enough members that would be willing to buy some of the latest releases, as well. I'm definitely getting the ACZ soundtrack at the end of May, for instance, so you'd have it right away on the server.
