It doesn't matter, unless it's gonna be your primary drive. You can always just got an ATA Controller Card and that'll get around the computer's HD barrier. If it is the primary, just use a smaller drive, (if you have one) like a 40GB, for your OS drive and then have the larger drive in the ATA controller as a data drive.

Typically the barrier is at 137GB for anything relatively recent, though some computers can go higher.
