In Flanders Fields the poppies blow

On the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month - the great war, the war to end all wars ended. We will all take a moment of silence to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. God bless our veterans, past, present, and future.

What the fuck - you should all be ashamed of yourselves. Have a little fucking respect. First of all, I'm not particularly religious - and who knows which "God" is the true god, or even if there is a god - it's more of an idea.

This was supposed to be a thread for rememberence, to honour those who have served for our freedoms - making sacrifices and showing courage that none of you could ever muster. Instead you sick fucks turn this into a big joke.

You know what - I may have not been the most active member around here, or the most popular, or even been here the longest - but I thought that we, as a community, were better then this drivel.

No, but I see happy new years threads, and I see birthday theads up the fucking wazoo - I didn't realize that it was oh so wrong to honour our servicemen and women. I mean, it's not like they've ever done anything that helps you out eh?

What is so wrong about remembering the sacrifices that they have made so that we have the freedoms we have today? I'm sure each and every person here has some military connection, be it a father, a grandfather, an uncle, etc... Like I said before, have a little respect.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
