Wisdom Teeth!

Sooo... One of the things I did while in Bangkok was getting my wisdom teeth pulled out - I was supposed to have it done years ago when I was still in middle school - but I was a little shit back then, and ripped up the DDS' referral, so the maxiofacial surgeon couldn't do the procedure.... Well, things had changed since then, and they were really starting to bother me, so we went to the dentist and got another referral to have them removed the next day... Unfortunatly, they wern't able to do it under general anesthetic like I had hoped (not enough time to meet with the anethesiologist and such), so I just had it locally frozen, and all four yanked out in the matter of an hour... Not the nicest thing in the world, especially since the freezing wasn't the greatest - but it got done, and now i've got four holes in my mouth. The teeth were little bastards too - 3/4 of them had curved roots (2 were curved 90deg, the 3rd was almost a full 180) - at least i was allowed to keep them though... maybe I can use them to kidnap the toothfairy and take all of her money. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAHA

Anyways, I just wanted to know who on GFF has thier wisdom teeth, and who doesn't... and for those who dont - how they were yanked out.

Maybe mine were just bad because on my lower ones, they had to grind away quite a bit of bone (3/4cm between the left and right) to get to the teeth

my bleeding stopped the day after, it was expected to stop within a few hours of the operation, so we were told to go back to the hospital to get it checked out, and they ended up cutting loose one of the stiches on the lower right side because the surgeon had tied it too tight, and it was ripping into my gum

The other three are doing allright right now - just the lower right is still really tender... I'm not on vicodin or t3, but I think I might stop by the pharmacy later on and pick some up (yay for thailand pharmacies not needing perscriptions for narcotics!).

What did you hear about tooth work in thailand?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

So 3/4 have healed nicely - and one dry socket Ouch.
