This is the same reason I haven't seen the remake, as well as the same reason I was refusing to see The Hills Have Eyes, with which I was rather dissapointed. I actually wanted that kid to die, the annoying jackass.

I'm foaming at the mouth for this every since I read the story, and I implore anyone who is even a little fan of horror to read this book and possibly Lovecraft works in general. Quite a riveting story.

I hadn't even heard about this till now, but hells yes I am excited.
