At least in the U.S. we have some level on control of who represents us. I dont know about Iran.

Ahmadinejad is the democratically elected leader of Iran. He probably won't be the leader after the next election because he's a fucking joke and the Iranian people know this. According to a
poll done in July of this year, 62% of people who voted for him in 2005 say they wouldn't do so again, and 95% of those who didn't vote for him last time said they still wouldn't.
Iran has control of who represents them, they just made a mistake.
