Depression is a term that is used to describe both a mood and a disease, and that causes a bit a bit of confusion. The mood depression, or "being depressed", is like any other mood and can pass in moments. The disease depression is totally different and definitely
not a mood; I know this from over a decade of first-hand experience. Unlike a mood, which can change over the course of hours or even minutes, clinical depression can last for months, years, even decades. It affects every facet of ones life, and is constantly there; it isn't something that just goes away by itself. I made the mistake of believing it would, and it cost me years of my life that I'll never have back. And from my experience, there is no real "cure" for depression; its more like cancer, that can go into remission but is never fully gone.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
