Component cables came in yesterday and there is lots of gorgeous Wii goodness to be had.
This is a side note to everyone, cause I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere yet, but Gamecube progressive scan games DO run in 480p on Wii just like they would on GC. I checked Resident Evil 4, Metroid Prime2, FF Crystal Chronicles, and a score of others. Damn these games look good in 480p. Gonna have to pull out some of those GC games I never finished (Skies of Arcadia, what?). How ya doing, buddy? ~ Ready To Strike ~ :Currently Playing: League Of Legends(PC), Skyrim(PC), Golden Sun: Lost Age(GBA), Twilight Princess(Wii), Portal2(PC), Dragon Warrior II(NES), Metroid Prime 2: Echoes(GC)

http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tut...#anti-aliasing http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-aliasing Basically your new HDTV supports resolutions of at least 1280x720. The Wii is outputing 848x480 (or so). This image when upscaled will show jagged edges prominently because the pixels are basically enlarged. So you will see stair stepped "lines" from the edges of polygons. On a regular TV (SDTV), the picture resolution is about 320x240. So fitting a 640x480 image in that resolution will look very better because the 320x240 will not show the pixels stairstepping because it physically can't. It's kind of hard to explain, but I think you'll get it. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ~ Ready To Strike ~ :Currently Playing: League Of Legends(PC), Skyrim(PC), Golden Sun: Lost Age(GBA), Twilight Princess(Wii), Portal2(PC), Dragon Warrior II(NES), Metroid Prime 2: Echoes(GC)
