Haven't even played the first one. It was one of those games I put aside until I was ready to play it, and since I got my ps3 a considerable amount of time after the game came out I was hoping for a price drop but alas it didn't happen until recently here in the US.
Since I'm intrigued with uncharted 2 I guess now is a good a time as any to get the game since I'm in no hurry about pre-orders and whatnot. Although, other than 3 characters from the previous game, it doesn't looks like I need to know much about part 1 in order to play part 2. Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() New Record! |
I finished the first one and loved it. The scenes were very movie like but they weren't long at all that it distracted from the gameplay.
The ending was a bit too hollywood happy but a good game nonetheless. Also downloaded the multiplayer demo, tried a deathmatch and found that a lot of people were using mics which I found annoying. First game I joined it was already a filled room, turns out you have to vote between 2 stages for the next match and I was the tie breaker. I picked the first stage because obviously if it was my first time, I don't know the stages. Some idiot says, "What! The temple? Why'd you pick that? What a noob, doesn't even know the stages, only noobs pick the temple." This genius went on jabbering it up through out the entire match not only that but it turned out you get matched with people around your level because my team was getting murdered and I was one of the top players and it was my first time playing. I left Deathmatch alone after that trying to ignore annoyances. Co-op on the other hand is very fun, I only played with one other player and I don't know if we can play a 4 player co-op in the demo but if it's possible it would be great fun. How ya doing, buddy? ![]() New Record! |
I tried doing Co-op arena but it doesn't give the option to create that type of game, just normal co-op.
I'd rather invite some friends because when I joined some random people they gave up almost right away for some reason, they kinda sucked but I thought we were doing well. I have yet to play the co-op fully with three players so if any of you see me online send an invite or something or maybe we can just have a GFF deathmatch. Most amazing jew boots ![]() New Record! |
I tried out the mulitplayer some more and every time I did someone always says something like "oh look at all the newbs", not joking.
Still fun but the matchmaking is a peace of crap. I don't know about anyone else but pairing levels 1-7 against levels 25-50 isn't fair. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? ![]() New Record! |
I am enjoying the crap out of the single player, it's really hard to stop playing because I just want to see the next cinematic moment.
Haven't checked out how many maps there are in multiplayer since I want to run through single player first. 2nd chapter Spoiler:
I was speaking idiomatically. ![]() New Record! |
Well I can't say I found it annoying, maybe too easy because of the ignorant AI.
Something I forgot to mention is that the game is already getting screwy on my part, already found like 4 glitches up until chapter 5. Spoiler:
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() New Record! |
Well from what I see, after chapter 2 stealth is pretty obsolete but it was still a good way to get some easy trophies. Trying to get 1 hit punches ten times in a row for the trophy but it's impossible where I'm at because there are always enemies I can't reach because of lack of bridge or something and I need to start it over. Although, I did find out that you can take care of enemies mega quick by shooting by the hip once and punching them. I cleared out whole areas this way, in normal mode he doesn't take so much damage but I'm probably used to it more because I just finished crushing mode on Uncharted 1 the day before I got this game.
I don't think you can throw grenades back, should have been in the tutorial if it was possible. I'm not sure what chapter it was with the helicopter, maybe 5 or 6. Spoiler:
