I had MAME 0.64 for the longest time since it was the most popular at the time like a year ago. I just recently made the switch to MAME Plus Plus 0.117 since it plays street fighter 3rd strike, but all I had to do was move the Bios to the new mame along with the same roms I used before and it never caused me a problem. I never had to re-download roms otherwise I would have given up on it long ago.
Still mame is rather buggy especially in the sound department, the sound quality is just horrible that it gets annoying. And I don't even know why they decide to add some games to the list like street fighter EX or rival schools since they just run like utter crap Jam it back in, in the dark. |
