Sorry. It sucks when someone you like is gone. I guess the idea is to think of them as living on in others' memories. Plus, if you believe in some heaven equivalent, then there's that, too.
It's good to just be bummed about it for a while, though. That type of thing can be a real bitch if you try to brush it off, depending on how well you know this guy of course.
Sometimes I think of what it will be like when I die, and I imagine something like I'm totally okay, and I'm just watching everyone else. Then it makes me feel better to imagine that's what other people do, too.
How's that for sympathy?
