The external doesn't support more than 21 characters in the filename? I know my FAT32 external drives allow long filenames in Windows. Is Mac's implementation of FAT32 just shitty, or is the drive shitty?

If worse comes to worse, uh... I assume you could tell her to format the external drive into HFS+. If you need to use it on a Windows computer, you could install MacDrive 6 on the computer.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
