Spoiler:
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
A clip was uploaded onto Youtube from a show called Zoom In that went behind-the-scenes of filming for the 2nd movie, DEATH NOTE: the Last name.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlrEvFp5as8 It's not that revealing or spoilery, so eh. There's complete confirmation that Rem's in it, though, for those who aren't on the ball with the movies' take on things. EDIT: DEATH NOTE beat The Da Vinci Code at the box office once again. I'm impressed. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |

The first ten minutes (or so) of the movie've been uploaded onto Youtube. There's nothing really amazing about the first ten minutes, so eh. It's a nice teaser, though. How ya doing, buddy? |
Actually, I prefer some of the "Hollywood movie music" to the Japanese scores. I usually go "Oh! That's a great song!" in a "Hollywood movie" and I usually don't remember anything from a Japanese movie's score. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
I'm not entirely familiar with Ishida's body of work, but Romi Paku as L was not was I had in mind at all. And Shidou Nakamura won't be Ryuk for the anime? For shame. From the moment I heard Ryuk's line at the end of the first trailer, Nakamura was Ryuk for me.
This is gonna be weird. FELIPE NO |
Oh, good. I really don't want anyone other than Nakamura to be Ryuk.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
If the movie manages to take the plot of DN and make it its own without going into the crummy Mello/Near stuff, then props to the producers. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
You'd think that news like this would circulate faster.
Probably in anticipation for the release of DEATH NOTE: the Last name on November 3rd, DEATH NOTE will air on NTV on October 27th. Yep, you read that right. It's going to air on TV before getting a DVD release. The catch is that it's a director's cut, but what that entails isn't exactly clear. I'm certainly not complaining since I'm pretty sure it's going to air in HD. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
There's two different raws for the movie (since it aired on NTV yesterday), one by Saiyaman and one available through DeltaAnime Torrents. I'm not sure on the specifics of the Saiyaman encode, but the one that DA has is in 1440 x 810 resolution.

I just finished watching the movie and it was great. Manga purists should probably stay away from the movie because it does end up omitting some things out (as well as inserting new things that don't seem to have any relevance at all) from what was originally in the manga, but overall I enjoyed the movie very much.
Spoiler:
The TV broadcast had a nice little clip from DEATH NOTE: the Last name at the end of the movie. Yay for Rem! You can watch the clip on YouTube. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
