Chess

I've been playing chess(or at least trying) since I could read and write. I'd like to say that I am a fairly competent player, but I lack much experience because of the town I live in. Not many willing participants that I could nurture my technique with, and finding suitable and intellectually stern people online is quite hard. I haven't played in years and it quite saddens me because chess is the number one board game for me, followed by scrabble/literati. I quite enjoy the strategy aspect of the game, though I do not have one of those concrete and used-every-single-time strategies. I love to make them up as I go. I would enjoy if GFF had some sort of chess contest to be held occasionally throughout the year.
