Furthest you've ever walked
Walked about 10 miles the other day, it took up most of the day, there were stops along the way. It wasn't a straight forward 10 miles - most of it was over rocky beaches and up and down rolling headlands. I don't know if that meant the distance was harsher, of if it was psychologically the opposite, because the more interesting journey kept the mind off how far I'd actually gone/had further to go.
Anyway, 10 miles might not be the furthest I've ever walked, but it certainly is in recent times, and will be used from now on as a benchmark. How about you? Jam it back in, in the dark. |

Oh yeah, forgot to post my findings. My toes were very saw near the end, the feet around the ankle area were aching slightly, and my legs were just beginning to feel the strain at the time of arriving home. The day afterwards, it was only my calfs that felt tender, and that's not down to the distance but due to attempting to tackle an almost sheer hill by running at it full pelt 'to allow the momentum of speed to carry me up', which didn't pan out as originally thought.
