I pirate because I'm a sponge. A sponge, absorbing the art and creation around me. Just think about it: the imaginations and ideas from tens, sometimes hundreds of different people, artists, have come together and are rolled into one; what we call a 'game'. It's a beautiful thing. When a group of artists release a game, they are really putting part of themselves out there, contributing themselves into a kind of ether, in which swirl the accumulated creative works of art for the entire history of humanity. Creation is meaning; ergo: the Creation Ether is the sum total of Man.
As an ape coming to terms with an existence where, if we analyse it, the natural purpose of life is just to be a slave to a bunch of genes; if I am to rise above the savage, meaningless natural order, I need to draw on this ether, absorb all art around me without limitation and feed on it until I am glutted. Then, I may understand what it means to be human.
To allow meaningless structures such as economic systems to limit my vision and understanding in this transcendent quest would be a crime against the spirit.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
